The Unseen that gave you Life
is still nourishing you --

miracles

A little girl went
to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet.

She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three
times, even The total had to be exactly perfect. No chance here for mistakes.

Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she
slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with
the big red Indian Chief sign above the door.

She waited patiently for
the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment.
Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat
with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good Finally she took a
quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!

'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of
voice. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he
said without waiting for a reply to his question.

'Well, I want to talk
to you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's
really, really sick...and I want to buy a miracle.'

'I beg your pardon?'
said the pharmacist.

'His name is Andrew and he has something bad
growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now So how
much does a miracle cost?'

'We don't sell miracles here, little girl.
I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.

'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get
the rest. Just tell me ho w much it costs.'

The pharmacist's brother was
a well dressed man He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a
miracle does your brother need?'

' I don't know,' Tess replied with her
eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an
operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money.'

'How much do you have?' asked the man from
Chicago

'One dollar
and eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audibly.

'And it's all the money
I have, but I can get some more if I need to.'

'Well, what a
coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a
miracle for little brothers. '

He took her money in one hand and with
the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want
to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you
need.'

That well dressed man was Dr.
Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon,
specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it
wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.

Mom and Dad were
happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.

'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how
much it would have cost?'

Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a
miracle cost..one dollar and eleven cents....plus the faith of a little child.

In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.

A
miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.

xmas message from NDW

http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/index.php?p=Doc&c=video

On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...

...that the reason so much of humanity commemorates

this day is that so much of humanity seeks to give and

receive love.

During this holy time, know that all times are holy, that

every religion holds truth, that each tradition is sacred,

and that it is in the simple sharing of love that we make

our beliefs come alive, and our dreams come true.

Let this Christmas Day remind us that Christ came to

invite us to offer love to all humankind, and to open the

door of God's kingdom to every soul.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Love, Your Friend.... Neale

is there a Santa Claus

Yes, Virginia . . .

We take pleasure in answering at once and thus prominently the communication below, expressing at the same time our great gratification that its faithful author is numbered among the friends of THE SUN.

"DEAR EDITOR: I am 8 years old.

"Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.

"Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.'

"Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?

"VIRGINIA O'HANLON.
"115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET."

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, VIRGINIA, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, VIRGINIA, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

.... this is the eve of the birth of the Christ ...

On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...

....that this is the eve of the birth of the Christ is you.

It is a re-birth, of course, for the Christ has always been

there. On this special eve, may you experience that

Presence in you, as you, through your sharing of the

love that has been brought to you directly from God.

The wonderful gift of Christmas is that it is not a one

day or one time experience, but lasts the whole year

through -- thanks to you. You are the gift, and as

you give, so shall you receive.

BRINGING REIKI TO THE CHRISTMAS GATHERING
a seasonal article...have a great xmas and new year! Rachael xxxxx

BRINGING REIKI TO THE CHRISTMAS GATHERING

This time of year is special for a variety of reasons: ancient, old
and new. In addition it's a time of family gatherings, seeing people
you love, relaxing, enjoying life, celebrating, reflecting on the
year ending, new hopes, resolutions, and dreams for the year ahead.

Family time can provide a wonderful opportunity for strengthening
bonds, seeing others in a new light and healing old ground from our
past histories together. One way to enhance special moments is to
bring reiki to them, intuitively sensing when it's right to do so.

I use the following visualisation to bring out the best in people.
I've found this method has enabled people to talk in an amazingly
open, honest and trusting way.

When I use this technique I do so with complete attention, having the
intention of working with unconditional love for those around me to
receive reiki blessings, if their souls wish to, or to reflect it
with ease if it's not wanted at that time.

Everyone works differently but I choose to quietly bring reiki's
loving energy into group gatherings without fuss and without others
knowing.

I centre and ground myself, feeling the grounding energy running
through the soles of my feet into the earth. I open my crown chakra
to reiki energy and draw that into my heart and down into one hand.

I imagine a ball of reiki energy growing, glowing and expanding in
the palm of my hand. When doing this I find it helps to gently turn
my palm up, sensing and feeling my palm and fingers cradling the ball
of reiki light. I visualise the golden rays of the reiki ball shining
out like the sun and stretching to fill the room/car/restaurant /table
or wherever I am, thus bringing reiki to everyone in the vicinity. I
hold this image for a few minutes and then close the ball down by
closing my hand. This technique seems especially useful in times of
tension but can be just as helpful if you want to use it at quieter
times when it provides an opportunity for deeper conversation or
quiet quality time together.

I've used this many times with amazing results and would really love
to hear others feedback about trying this too.

The Illusion of Separation
The Illusion of Separation

The illusion of separation not only symbolizes our self-doubt and alienation, it gives us a chance to work through the interior distress of various dichotomies by externalizing them.

We see ourselves in others, hating in them what we hate in ourselves, loving in them what we love in ourselves. We contend with others because we are contending within ourselves. We punish and reward others as we would ourselves.

The illusion of separation offers us the chance to resolve the interior inhibitions to unqualified love in a state of true union. Without this illusion and our reaction to other people, we might never even know such stresses existed.

Here are eight tips for finding miracles in your own life, and for helping others to find miracles in theirs:

Here are eight tips for finding miracles in your own life, and for helping others to find miracles in theirs:

1. Define Miracle. After all, we cannot find that for which we are not looking--and miracles are not always supernatural. According to the Midrash, the bush from which God called to Moses had been burning forever. The miracle was not that a bush caught fire and remained intact, it was that Moses noticed. What's your definition of a miracle?

2. Look closely. We have all been raised on stories of parting seas, resurrection of the dead etc. What is the "smallest" miracle you can identify in your own life? Why is it really something very big?

3. Tell miracle stories. Where have you witnessed miracles, as defined by you, happening for other people? What do you think made those miracles possible for them?

4. Dare to hope. Hoping for miracles can empower us by reconnecting us to what it is we really most desire. For what miracles are you hoping in your own life?

5. Make a list. What qualities do you possess that make you worthy of a miracle? Even if that hoped-for miracle never comes, it's amazing how unexpectedly wonderful things can happen when we recall how worthy we are.

6. Invest in making a miracle.  Where can you start the process, which might unleash a miracle in your own life?

7. Discover your inner light. Like the little bit of oil that burned longer than anyone expected, each of us has abilities, talents, and capacities, which are little known or under-utilized. What are yours and how could they be used to accomplish a miracle for someone else?

8. Celebrate. If it matters to you, make the most of it.  Finding joy in what is, helps unlock our ability to locate the miracles we still need.
