If there is any kindness I can show
If there is any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow human being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.

The Wisdom of the Universe
The Wisdom of the Universe | | All human beings are born with all the wisdom of the universe imprinted on their soul. It is in the DNA of everything. Indeed, "DNA" could very well be used as an acronym for Divine Natural Awareness.
Every living thing has this natural awareness built in. It is part of the system. It is part of the process that you call Life. This is why, when people are confronted with great wisdom, it often sounds so familiar to them. They agree with it almost at once. There is no argument. There is only a remembering. It is part of their Divine Natural Awareness. It is said to be "in their DNA." It feels like, "Ah, yes, of course." | Home With God Neale Donald Walsch Page 5 |

Maybe you could pass this on to any women in your life who may appreciate it!) I’ve got herbal tips for PMS and an invite to a Red Tent Day – this has come out of MENSTRUAL MONDAY- an initiative that began a few years ago in the US. Since my visit there last year I’ve kept in touch with many women who work in the field of women’s health, menstruation, menarche etc and I love the idea of women all over the world gathering to create red tents (or moon lodges) and connecting with one another. I’m also running some Reiki II review sessions aimed at students who need to reconnect with their peers and fulfil their requirements.(see below)
I’ve been promoting my Moon Times products business this month: Aspire magazine honoured Moon Times with their Eco Product Award which was fab, I was featured in last weeks local paper, the Evening Post and I was interviewed on the BBC Bristol Radio show ‘Girls Night In’ (Listen here- only on line for 1 week!!click on 'girls night in!') So you can see why I’m rather saturated in ‘women’s issues’ at the moment! By the way, If you've got time, please do vote for Moon Times for the Baby Groe Magazine awards- see http://www.babygroe.co.uk/public/misc/surveydetails.aspx?id=23

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 8 0's , arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. T he gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.
I inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is.'
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had the goose bumps on my arm, and thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life.'
True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and wi ll not be.
With all the jokes and fun that is in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I could share with you.
The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.
'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.' | Tips: for PMS |
| Ten Tips for Women with PMS ©1998 Susun S. Weed |
| Water retention, mood swings, sore breasts, and indigestion are problems experienced by many women in the week preceeding menstruation. Here are a few tips from Susun Weed's best-selling book, NEW Menopausal Years the Wise Woman Way (Alternatives for Women 30- 90) to help ease these discomforts. |
| To relieve water retention 1) 10-20 drops of dandelion root tincture in a cup of water with meals and before bed. 2) A strong infusion (one ounce of dried herb in a quart of boiling water, brewed overnight) of the common weed, stinging nettle, not only relieves, but also helps prevent further episodes of water retention. Weed says she drinks a cup or more of this infusion daily whenever she wants to nourish her kidneys and adrenals. |
|
| To moderate mood swings 3) Tincture of the flowering tops of fresh motherwort is a favourite calmative of herbalist Weed. She uses 5-10 drops in a small amount of water as a dose, which she repeats as needed, sometimes as frequently as 3-4 times an hour, until the desired effect is achieved. "I never feel drugged or groggy or out-of-it when I use motherwort to help me calm down," she says. 4) For women who consistently feel rage premenstrually, Weed uses 20-30 drops of motherwort tincture twice a day for a month to help stabilize moods and urges the woman to take a moon day -- one day right before or at the start of the menstrual flow which is set aside for you and you alone. 5) One or more cups of an infusion of the herb oatstraw (the grass of the plant that gives us oatmeal) helps the nerves calm down and provides a rich source of minerals known to soothe frazzeled emotions. |
|
| To relieve congestion and tenderness in the breasts 6) 20-30 drops of the tincture of cleavers, another common weed, works wonders. This plant, also called "goose grass" was used as a black tea substitute by the colonists. The dose may be repeated every hour or up to 6 times a day. 7) Women who get a lot of calcium and magnesium from their diet (leafy greens, yogurt, and many herbs are rich in these minerals) have less breast tenderness. Increase the minerals in your diet with a cup or more of red clover/mint infusion daily. 8)Large cabbage leaves, steamed whole until soft, and applied as warm as tolerable, can be used as a soothing compress on breasts which are sore and swollen. |
| To relieve digestive distress 9) A daily doses of 1 teaspoonful/5ml yellow dock root vinegar. 10) A cup of yogurt in the morning (buy it plain and add fruit at home) replaces gut flora and insures easy digestion all day long.

Sleeping with Awareness in Peace and Harmony
Mood:
bright
Topic: Musings
Sleeping with Awareness in Peace and HarmonyGoing to sleep is something we do automatically when we go to bed. Every now and then we experience a time when we say we cannot sleep. During these periods of wakefulness I would suggest a few simple exercises to help you check in with your body and centre and balance your energies. Sleep is a natural, effortless process of relaxing and refreshing the body for a full, active life. As we go to bed with the intention of sleeping, it is good to get out of our heads and into our feelings. By this I mean leaving the thinking mind to relax and putting our awareness on how we are feeling and being. One way to do this consciously is to do a body scan with your awareness. This is done by becoming aware of each section of the body and "breathing" consciously into that area with your awareness, inviting all the muscles to relax and find their own natural balance. For example you could take your awareness into your feet, relaxing the toes, the soles and ankles. Then continue up the legs into the main body. Then from your fingers up the arms and into the shoulders, and up the neck around to the face, relaxing all the muscles and being aware of the feeling of wholeness as you do this. We can continue this process of releasing tension at deeper levels within the body with a loving smile. Once we have become aware of our body at the gross surface levels we can smile and feel the loving energy that is producing the smile in our face, as we do this. Become aware of the energy field behind a loving relaxed smile. Feel it flow within your skin like a magnetic field, lining up all the cells of your body which this smiling energy touches. We can do this with the organs in the body. Visualize all the cells in the heart smiling; thank them for the work they do and give them loving appreciation. Request them to do a self-scan and ask for any waste products to be removed and released from the body – a bit like spring cleaning for the body, as you would do in your home. Continue with the liver, kidneys and all the other major organs, seeing all the cells smiling and happy, working together in peaceful harmony. Feel the awareness growing. Notice how relaxed and calm you feel as a whole when you have done this. Become aware of your light body (spiritual body), which underlies the physical body. Check your energy field to see that it feels centred. Imagine a field of energy forming your aura and surrounding and permeating your body. Feel this now centred on the physical body – so that your soul, energy body, atoms, molecules, cells, organs, and whole body feel in alignment and at peace and in harmony with each other. Being aware on all these levels helps us to know our Self and be in touch with our inner feelings and emotions. When we have consciously balanced our energies in this way it is effortless just to relax further into a deep restful sleep, which will refresh and recharge the body with spiritual self-love and appreciation. By thanking and appreciating the layers within the body, we help the body to know itself, in a wholeness that will bring balance and harmony into the body's functioning. Growing in self-love and appreciation helps to bring presence and charisma as you charge up your energies in this way. Then when you naturally awake it is good to stretch in the normal way or do a simple Yoga workout and a gentle meditation to awaken and charge up your awareness further for the day. By George E. Lockett
